Unit 1. 2001: A Space Odyssey film review.

I really enjoyed doing this review due to the sheer amazement I found about it and the film was a great watch too.

  1. Hi Lisa,
This is a thoughtful review...there are just a couple of technical issues that you need to iron out now.
Firstly, make sure that you reference the quote directly afterwards, with the author's surname and the date, both in brackets, so for example (Milne, 2010). If it is a website with no obvious author, you put s.n which stands for 'no name'.

Make sure that all your film titles are in italics.

Be careful if you are trying to paraphrase what someone has said before - it is always very obvious to (an experienced!) reader, when the words are not your own!! If you are paraphrasing, you still need to reference in a similar way - the referencing guide can direct you how to do this.

Make sure that the correct bits in your bibliography are in italics - again, look at the referencing guide, here -

Glad you enjoyed the film though! :)

    1. Hi Jackie,

I don't understand what you mean by paraphrasing? all words that are not my own are put with "" and labelled as quotes.
